A Gretsch for MikePencil on paper, 12" x 16" Our friend Mike is an absolute genius playing a guitar. For his birthday, I created a drawing of a classic guitar for him to hang in his home studio. I hoped to showcase the technical parts of the instrument as well as it's character. | French HornPencil on bristol Always fascinated by the sounds of the french horn, I could not resist this challenge. As with many of my favorite subjects, the technical details were fun to tackle. | JoyPencil on Bristol, 9" x 6" |

The HitPencil on museum board, 18" x 12" My nephew is one of those naturally talented athletes. Baseball, soccer, basketball... he played them all... 12 letters and an all time school record in basketball. When he was a senior in high school, my sister asked me to create a few pieces of art to celebrate his accomplishments. I hoped to capture the action of the sport and most importantly, his style of play in each one. | The DribblePencil on museum board, 18" x 12" My nephew's favorite sport is basketball. His natural talent and love of the sport propelled him to play for his high school varsity team for 4 years. He broke his school's record for all time assists and was a top state player. As with the baseball drawing, I loved capturing the action of the sport and his style of play. | Laura's Mom |
